There’s nothing like a S/O from a successful blogger and podcaster to scare the living daylights out of you. Especially if you’re a blogger who can’t get content generated.
Jeff Stephens from CrazyDadLife and I have been exchanging tweets for a little while. I started listening to his podcast, and wanted to respond to episode 1. Per usual, I had more to say than could be posted in a comment box, so I wrote a massive e-mail, even by my standards. Then I listened to another episode and tweeted out that his podcast was worth a listen. You know, to my entire audience of 8 twitter followers I even put a status update on Facebook…hitting another 80 people (ok, 72 since the 8 twitter followers overlap into my Facebook). Then Jeff had the audacity to tweet out that people should follow me! Holy crap…that’s 1,819 people who heard about me in one tweet. That’s scary stuff…especially considering that I’ve been so scatter-brained about putting posts up.
So, I got another kickstart to go along with my health kickstart from 11 days ago. BTW, that’s going really well. It’s really funny that simply cutting out any eating between meals has led to weight loss of 7.2 pounds in three weeks. I cheated a little bit and had a fourth meal yesterday. No excuse for it, I was hungry and I ate. But today, I’m back at it. Thanks to my buddy Chris at BuffDaddio.com for the advice and guidance. He’s got a great website and tons of superb content.
So, my creative juices are now flowing because of the twitter scare. I’ve got lots to write about, so the editorial calendar for the next couple of weeks is taking shape. Watch out for some new content (finally), and join me for the ride.
Welcome, or welcome back!
Looking forward to more content! No pressure though. Love what you are doing and your message really resonates with me. You understand what it takes to be an engaged dad and still pursue your personal passions and lean forward. Love it. Keep up the good work!
Jeff,
Thanks for the positive words. Like everything in life, creating content merely means making the time for it. So here I am, on the exercise cycle (while I train for the Bike Across Kansas in June) responding to comments and doing research. Oh, and I’m listening to the CrazyDadLife podcast!
