I dragged my feet for several years before watching any episodes of The Big Bang Theory. I’m not much for commercial television shows, so I just couldn’t “find the time” to watch the show. I was finally nagged into it by one of my daughters…and now I can’t wait for the new episodes to come out on a weekly basis. I’ll admit it, I’m a TBBT addict!
No description does justice to the humor of the show. It’s impossible to give a short description of the characters and their interactions without losing so much in translation. If you’ve never seen the show, give it a shot. It’s the story of a group of nerds, eventually their nerdette women, and every manner of social interaction gone to the nerd side.
If you’re like me and wear your moniker of nerd proudly, you’ll fee right at home with Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj in the first season. With each episode your emotions will go up with new characters, down when some leave, you’ll feel strange with some of the relationships, you’ll recognize the inherent charm of the protaganists, you’ll wonder what’s at the bottom of the elevator shaft, and you’ll wonder what’s at the top of the stairs.
If you already recognized those bold word as the six flavors of quarks you need to stop reading this and immediately watch every episode of the show. If you didn’t know those were flavors of quarks, or you don’t really know what a quark is…don’t worry. You’ll probably still love the show.
Going strong in it’s seventh season, The Big Bang Theory is my absolute favorite show. I highly recommend it!
