The Little Kingdom: The Private Story of Apple Computer
by Mike Moritz
Comments:
Moritz is a great writer. His imagery is excellent, and fun to read. Unfortunately, the book ends early in the life of Apple (1984) so John Sculley is the up and coming savior, the Mac has just been released, and Steve Jobs is happily at Apple. I’m looking forward to the sequel, although it won’t go very far into the future, it will be interesting to see what he has to say. At first I was frustrated by the interleaving of timeframes (1984 and times related to the founding and pre-founding of Apple), but I got used to it, and by the end of the book it seemed to work well. Honestly, this would make for an interesting movie.
